Chest Wrinkle Treatment Comes In A Variety Of Forms

Chest wrinkles occur for two reasons. First, as the skin ages, it naturally loses elasticity and density with the loss of collagen and at the behest of free radicals in the system. Second, chest wrinkles occur when people sleep in the same position on their side for hours at a time. So chest wrinkle treatment can range from the topical (creams, etc), to the surgical to the fashion.

There are products, such as Chest Saver, breast pillows and bras especially designed to save the skin from the effects of several hours of compression every night.  There are also adhesive strips that can be fashioned to the chest area, which hold the skin in place as you sleep at night. These pads are reusable, and can also be worn during the day to help prevent the creases that naturally occur in the chest.

These products are, relative to the cost of other treatments, relatively inexpensive (around $50 or less), and will help to reduce wrinkles in the chest. However, it is worth considering the effect of such a device. Introducing a new element to the wardrobe can disturb sleep or cause the body to rest in a such a fashion as to cause pain in the morning.

Like most any cosmetic product, the effectiveness of these products will vary from person to person, and it is worthwhile to learn as much as you can about them to determine how effective they will be for you.

Other treatments are a little more traditional, and are the same as exists for treating wrinkles on the face and neck. These include creams, ointments and surgical and laser procedures.

Why we wrinkle, on the chest and elsewhere

Genetics play a significant role in determining how much our skin wrinkles. And, there are lifestyle choices that also affect the skin. Wrinkles occur as the skin thins and elasticity diminishes throughout the course of our lives. Sun exposure, cigarette smoke and alcohol consumption can all accelerate that process. So can diet. A diet heavy in fat and oils, sugar, salt and red meat can cause inflammation in the body that leads to wrinkling.

So there are some simple steps you can take to help reduce the appearance of aging on your chest, including eating a diet rich in fruits, nuts and vegetables, exercising regularly and avoiding over indulgences in the foods named above.

There are  a lot of different options to chose from, and not always a lot of reliable information about what you can expect in terms of results, so it is advisable to talk with a medical professional who can help you sort through the various options to determine which is the right one for you and your situation.
